A ColoradoPols post entitled, A vote for Democrats is a vote for Gay People, says the Rocky Mountain News reported that the Republicans have been using their robot calling machines to tell voters that Jefferson County's democratic candidate for state senate has been supported by "the most radical homosexual and cross-dressing organization in the state." According to The News, no organization is actually named.
The News also reports that the Colorado Republicans blasted Paula Noonan for accepting money from "the abortion on-demand lobby"--a veiled reference to NARAL Pro Choice Colorado, which has donated to Noonan's campaign.
Nothing like a little xenophobia and homophobia to really drive your point home, eh Republicans? They're probably pissed that everybody already expects the fabled "October Surprise," essentially neutralizing any threat this surprise might pose.
As if someone who hates gays and "crossdressers" hasn't made up their mind on whether they'd vote Democrat or not...these recorded phone calls could be the start of the self-destruction for the Colorado Republican Party. Smooth move, guys!
